Peruvian Contemporary Artist | Figurative Painting, Surrealism & Abstraction
BIANCHI (Rodrigo Bianchi) is a Peruvian contemporary artist whose work explores the boundaries between figurative painting, surrealism, and abstraction. His distinctive visual language combines expressive human figures, unexpected compositions, fluid lines, and striking contrasts of color.
Working across large-scale canvases, Bianchi creates imaginative worlds where recognizable forms merge with abstraction. His paintings invite viewers to discover their own narratives through movement, emotion, and the interaction of seemingly unrelated elements.
The artist describes his creative philosophy simply as “Happily Painting,” reflecting the sense of spontaneity, experimentation, and artistic freedom that characterizes his work.
Artistic Approach
Bianchi’s artistic approach is defined by an intuitive exploration of the human figure, color, and composition. His paintings frequently feature fragmented bodies, expressive gestures, and surreal imagery, creating an intriguing dialogue between reality and imagination.
Bold backgrounds, delicate outlines, layered textures, and unexpected visual relationships bring energy and depth to his compositions. His work moves naturally between playful experimentation and complex visual storytelling.
Several of his works are created using mixed-media techniques on canvas, combining elements of drawing and painting to develop a distinctive contemporary aesthetic.
