Ratko Torma

Ratko Torma

Serbian Artist | Contemporary Painter

Ratko Torma is a contemporary Serbian artist living and working in Sid, Serbia. He works primarily in oil on canvas, combining figurative painting with surrealism and psychologically charged imagery.

At the center of his work is the human inner world — memory, fear, freedom, inner conflict, and transformation. Real figures and spaces take on a dreamlike dimension, becoming visual metaphors for human consciousness.

Artistic Approach

A central part of Torma’s practice is the Mental Constructions series, dedicated to the human psyche and the ways our perception shapes our own reality.

His works are characterized by expressive figurative imagery, complex compositions, dramatic light, and a strong emotional atmosphere.

Art in the Interior

Torma’s paintings have a strong visual presence and can become a distinctive focal point in contemporary, eclectic, and art-focused interiors.

His art does more than complement a space — it creates a mood and introduces its own narrative.

International Recognition

Torma’s work has been featured in international art projects and publications, including Living Large, Bridgeman Images London, and the international exhibition Chromatic.

Selected Publications & Projects

In 2026–2027, works from the Mental Constructions series were selected for projects and publications including Art Horizons, Creativity’s UK, and Moonday Magazine.
