“Many See, but Few Understand”
The title comes from the Latin phrase Multis Oculis Vident, Sed Pauci Intellegunt, which can be interpreted as “Many see, but few understand.” Here, vision becomes more than a physical ability. It is a metaphor for perception. We may look at a person, an event, or the world around us, yet only a few are able to truly understand what lies beneath the surface.
In Nik Kruglove distinctive visual language, contemporary figurative art, Cubism, Surrealism, and Expressionism come together in a layered composition. The recurring motif of the eye emphasizes observation, inner knowledge, and the difference between simply looking and truly understanding.
The work becomes a reflection on perception, illusion, and the ability to see beyond the obvious.
