Created from life during a studio session with model Maelle, this expressive work presents the female figure emerging dramatically from a dark background. A group of spectators appears at the lower edge of the composition, creating the impression of an audience observing the model. Their heads were created separately and incorporated into the work, adding a distinctive layered quality and theatrical dimension to the scene.
