“Joy Is a Form of Wisdom”
The title comes from the Latin phrase Laetitia est forma sapientiae, meaning “Joy Is a Form of Wisdom.” Here, joy is not presented as carelessness or a fleeting emotion, but as a state of inner freedom. The ability to preserve joy despite the complexity and contradictions of life becomes a sign of maturity and wisdom.
In Nik Kruglove distinctive visual language, contemporary figurative art, Cubism, Surrealism, and Expressionism come together in a vivid, theatrical composition. The multitude of characters, gestures, and gazes creates the feeling of a stage of life, where seriousness coexists with absurdity and reflection with the pleasure of simply being alive.
The work suggests that true wisdom may sometimes lie not in finding all the answers, but in preserving the ability to experience joy.
